About Us
Building Code Solutions, Inc. (BCS), founded by Chris Kimball and George Williams in 2024, is committed to providing top-tier consulting services in the realm of building codes. Alongside our core team, BCS collaborates with a network of experienced building code experts who assist as needed to ensure exceptional service for our clients.
Chris Kimball, PE, SE, FPE, MCP, is a licensed civil, structural, and fire protection engineer and an International Code Council (ICC) Master Code Professional. He holds multiple certifications from the ICC, including building official and fire code official, and has a master’s degree focused on structural engineering. With over 25 years of experience, Mr. Kimball has conducted plan reviews for thousands of projects across the United States. As an approved ICC instructor, he frequently provides on-demand training through platforms like the WC3 Academy, educating building officials, design professionals, and contractor organizations nationwide.
George Williams, MCP, CBO, has been a 3rd party code professional since 2005, working with jurisdictions throughout the Western United States. His extensive experience includes various roles within building departments, such as building official and plans examiner for both commercial and residential projects. Mr. Williams has also contributed to the start-up of building departments and the implementation of permitting processes. He holds a master’s degree in construction management and boasts numerous ICC and IAPMO certifications, including Master Code Professional. An author of multiple ICC code publications, George is frequently invited to provide training to building official organizations, sharing his expertise in mechanical and energy codes. His practical experience as a lead inspector on significant commercial projects further enhances the building solutions offered by BCS.
